Newly graduated students’ role as ambassadors for digitalisation in construction firms

This study furthers the understanding of newly graduated students’ role in construction firms’ efforts to better use digital technologies. The aim is increase that students play transformation firms. based on 18 semi-structured interviews and three focus group with new graduates managers Sweden’s largest results show despite having relevant skills, a limited when they are first recruited, as struggle close “knowledge-experience gap”. Gradually, whilst familiarising themselves how things done, act ambassadors for digitalisation contribute modification senior colleagues’ beliefs about technology could be used. However, this development hampered by them getting caught-up messy everyday activities, which forces – like other staff prioritise urgent issues over important ones. An observed lack established practices make skills hampers their involvement further. It has been suggested urgency might not only problem, but solution it possible sense around way working
